History of the Venusian Cult
Background
Venus was born from the foam created in the ocean by a pair of discarded testicles. She being a goddess is immortal and has representation in all works of art.
She is the goddess of love and lust. Her presence is made known to mortals through the experience of lust. Thus, the more lust experienced, the greater one’s appreciation for the goddess becomes.
The Cult of Venus has its roots in ancient Rome. For thousands of years, it has guided historical events from the shadows and instructed men on their proper place in the world. The Cult is purported to be all-powerful as the goddess it serves is all-powerful.
The Modern Era
The Modern Era of the Venusian Cult was inaugurated by the founding of the Cumbrian School. Its formal name is the La Strange Academy. the ever-mysterious Duchess of Carlisle, Radica Haversham. She, a Russian transplant from the same area and demimonde that later produced Rasputin, met, seduced, and married her much older husband the duke in 1750. She was seventeen at the hour of her nuptials though legend had it she was several years younger still. Though still a child it immediately became clear to the duke’s servants who ran the household. The modern-day Baroness La Strange doubles as the Cult’s high priestess. She is very active in School affairs.
The modern-day Baroness “Freddie” La Strange samples fare from the School canteen.
